The Borough of Haringey is situated in the North of London and is part of Inner London. It covers an area of more than 11 square miles (28.5 km2) and was established in 1965 by the joining three former boroughs.
It is set between six other London boroughs including Enfield and Waltham Forest to the north, Hackney and Islington to the East, Camden to the South and Barnet to the West. It is mostly known for the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and for Alexandra Palace, situated on a hill with remarkable views on central London The Haringey borough is also blessed with large areas of green space making up more than 25% of its total area.

The Bruce Castle, formerly called the Lordship House, is a Grade I listed 16th-century manor house in Lordship Lane, Tottenham, London. It is named after the House of Bruce who formerly owned the land on which it is built. It is Believed to stand on the site of an earlier building, about which little is known, the current house is one of the oldest surviving English brick houses. It was remodelled in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
